As you're leveling you'll naturally not
have access to all the skills but a good
rotation between Aimed Shot / Ambush and
Charged Burst / Snipe will take down most
enemies rather quickly. XS Flyby / Orbital
Strike can be used for AE damage on tightly
grouped enemies.
Energy management can be a problem
here and it's good to remember that Flurry
of Bolts / Rifle Shot can be used to allow
your Energy to regenerate. It's also a good
idea to always be above 60 Energy, which
typically means waiting until 90 Energy
before using an Energy-consuming ability.
Scoundrel / Operative

First off, Pugnacity / Stim Boost are
pretty much required active at all times due
to the increased Energy they return.
Thankfully th effect lasts 45 seconds, so
you won't be spamming the ability but it's
important to always have it active. This will
require balancing of the Upper Hand /
Tactical Advantage in order to use, so keep
at least one up as well, which should be
simple enough. This Energy management
also means that you should try and keep
your Energy above 90 before using an
ability.
Your rotation therefore becomes Flurry
of Bolts / Rifle Shot if you're under 90
Energy. Blaster Whip / Shiv can be used to
get Upper Hand / Tactical Advantage.
Hemorrhaging Blast / Weakening Blast
should be used for the increased DoT
damage. Vital Shot / Corrosive Dart should
then be applied and kept active. Shrap
Bomb / Corrosive Grenade for the same
reason. Finally, use Wounding Shots / Cull.
AE battles can use Shrap Blast /
Corrosive Grenade, XS Flyby / Orbital Strike
and Blaster Volley / Carbine Burst.
Trooper / Bounty
Hunter
This class has a pretty good set of AE
skills and good defenses in addition to
attacking from range, making it one of the
more evenly balanced options in TOR –
regardless of the Advanced Class you
select.
